October - Filipino American History Month
October is Filipino American History Month which recognizes the critical history, experiences, and legacies of Filipinos in America.
The 2025 theme for Filipino American History Month is "From Quotas to Communities: Filipino American Migration and Movement,” which commemorates the 60th anniversary of the 1965 Immigration and Naturalization Act and the 60th Anniversary of the 1965 Immigration & Naturalization Act.
Accepting the proclamation was member of the city's Planning Commission and Secretary of the Association of Filipino-American Engineers of Washington (AFEW), Josephine Bayan.
