In the Loop: Online Community Engagement Tool

Introducing In the Loop:

Residents were provided with information about the City's new online community engagement tool, In the Loop. On this platform, residents can view, ask questions, and leave comments about happenings in their community. Additionally, please see the following details about the matching grant portal.

The matching grant application site goes live on April 1st, 2023. If your neighborhood is planning an event or project before this date, please upload a PDF of your grant application and email Rhemy King at rking@rentonwa.gov. The maximum amount residents may apply for is $5,000.

If you need to apply for a permit, visit permitting.rentonwa.gov. Here, you will be instructed to log in or register.

*Note: Neighborhood BBQs are hosted by the City of Renton. There are four upcoming Neighborhood BBQs this spring and summer. Please see the main flyer in Documents! Block parties are resident-hosted, and we are excited to support these community-building events through the matching grants!

Closing remarks by Mayor Armondo Pavone:

The way we have engaged with the community has changed over the years. Our methods used to be more one-sided, one-way communication. Now, with social media, residents, businesses, and neighborhoods want to be heard. This is why we are very excited for the Neighborhood Program's community engagement tool, In the Loop!
