What's Happening Now - September 2026

Curb ramp, drainage, and vehicle detection camera* work will continue over the next several weeks.

Later this month, crews will begin pavement restoration work, removing the top layer of existing pavement and replacing it with new pavement. Pavement restoration work is weather dependent and subject to change.

  • SW 43rd St from Oakesdale Ave SW to E Valley Hwy expect lane shifts and travel delays for this work.

*Traffic signals are currently set to fixed-timed cycles. After the installation of the new vehicle detection cameras, the traffic signals will be set to actuated timed cycles. This will help improve the traffic congestion.

Find the three-week look-ahead schedule here.

Lane and road closures may affect King County Metro bus routes. For the most up-to-date information and to sign up for transit alerts, visit the service advisories page here.
