Project Progress
Talbot Hill Reservoir Park: Opening Soon!
We're thrilled to share that the Talbot Hill Reservoir Park renovation is entering its final stages. After delays primarily related to redesigning the sports court/reservoir roof drainage approach, we are pleased to announce that the project is now moving ahead quickly, and we're closer than ever to unveiling the upgraded park!
What's new at the Park?
Here are some of the key updates:
New Pedestrian Bridge: One of the major milestones is the installation of a beautiful new pedestrian bridge, which provides a safe way to cross onto the sports court/reservoir roof. This bridge is durable and ADA-accesssible.

Improved Sports Court and Drainage: The redesign of the drainage approach to the sports court was essential as we learned that the original approach would have added too much weight to the water reservoir roof. Instead, drainage joint improvements were made. Now that this challenge has been resolved and the joints are nearly all installed, we’re ready to finalize the court resurfacing and painting.

Enhanced Park Amenities: A new ADA accessible pathway with safe connections between all areas of the park, added drinking fountain, added shade shelter, added ADA parking stall, new fencing, repaired practice wall, and parking lot patching and new curbs have all been installed.

What’s Next?
This week and next, we’ll be completing the following: crack seal and fog seal of the parking lot, restriping the parking lot, resurfacing/painting the courts, installing the remaining site furnishings (i.e., court nets, divider nets, wind screens, benches, bike racks, bollards) and landscaping. Because the site is not irrigated, we will hydroseed exposed soil areas to stabilize them and reseed in the fall to fully restore the grass.
Stay tuned for progress photos and the official opening date! We truly appreciate your patience and support during this renovation, and we look forward to seeing everyone enjoy the updated park soon.
