Renton Market & Piazza Park Construction Progress - July 2026

We continue to see steady progress at both the Renton Market and Piazza Park as we move closer to project completion.

Renton Market
Material delays have pushed back installation of several remaining elements, including exterior signage and other final components still awaiting delivery. Once all building systems and equipment are installed, tested, and fully operational, we will reach an important milestone toward interior approval.

The good news: vendor interest remains strong! The market operator is actively coordinating with prospective businesses to prepare all 12 kiosk stalls and the two permanent tenant spaces so they can move forward as soon as we hand over the keys.

Piazza Park
Many of you have already enjoyed the new Piazza Park during visits to the Renton Farmers Market or on your way to Legacy Square. While the park is largely complete and a majority of the plantings are in place, a few finishing touches are still in progress, including:

• Installation of benches and the concrete stage
• Mast‑pole lighting
• Plantings for repurposed fountain

What’s Next
Once the final components are installed, the interior of the Renton Market can undergo its last inspection and approval. The project remains on schedule for completion and turnover to the market operator later this month, allowing them to begin the next phase of preparations.
