Renton Market, Piazza Park, Legacy Square Update - June

We are nearing completion of construction work on all three projects: Renton Market, Piazza Park, and Legacy Square.

Renton Market

The interior walls are in place for the vendor stalls and the kitchen set up is 90% complete. By June 6, our goal is to have the interior of the market available for the public to tour during the grand opening celebration. Once we have reached substantial completion with construction, we will hand over the keys to the Renton Market tenant, allowing for the next phase to begin. The tenants planned improvements over the coming months will ready the space for future vendors and activities.

Current Renton Market items that aim to be completed by June 6:

• Lighting (excluding anchor tenant spaces)
• Fine details
• Storefront
• Exterior paint

Remaining Renton Market items after June 6:

• Exterior market sign
• Super graphics

Piazza Park

Crews worked through the weekend preparing for opening day at the Renton Farmers Market this afternoon completing the concrete work and majority of the planting and sod placement. As of this morning, construction gates are beginning to come down.

During the farmers market, building access to the Renton Market will be closed. The Renton Market will be open for viewing during the June 6 grand opening.

Remaining items that will follow the market include:

• Completion of stage and round metal seating pieces with wood tops
• All plantings in place
• Development of seating areas throughout Piazza Park outside of turf and sod zone

Legacy Square

We are adding the final touches to Legacy Square. Beginning Tuesday, June 2, access to the Square will be open to the public. Celebrate Opening day on June 6! Join us: rentonwa.gov/hattrick
