The City of Renton is seeking your feedback on proposed concepts to address floding and improve access to natural spaces in Tiffany Park and Cascade Park. These improvements largely revolve around the “Stormwater Parks” concept which provides benefits to the community, environment, and stormwater management.
This subbasin plan will guide future projects and investments in stormwater infrastructure in your community.
The goals of the Ginger Creek Subbasin plan are to:
Reduce pipe failure risk and minimize flooding
Improve stormwater management and increase access to natural areas
What could this mean to our community?
Increased stormwater storage capacity in the parks
Less flooding and improved stormwater system maintenance
Parks with more natural areas
Increased opportunity to learn about natural stormwater systems in your neighborhood
