Highlands Park Playground Update: Design Selected & Construction Begins!

Thanks to the incredible feedback from the Highlands community, a new playground design has been selected for Highlands Park and Neighborhood Center! After nearly 20 years of use, the existing playground is ready for a refresh, and your input played a key role in shaping a space that reflects what the community values most.

Based on community priorities, the selected design features an expanded play area with updated equipment, safety surfacing, and amenities that will create a safer, more fun, and more welcoming place for everyone to play.

What’s next:

• Construction on the new playground begins in February

• Updates will be shared as construction progresses
