Tri-Park Area Concept Plans

Thank you to the hundreds of people who visited us during the 2025 Renton River Days celebration to talk about the PROS Plan! We were thrilled by the incredible community feedback and conversations around all aspects of parks, recreation, and open space.

One area we were especially excited to explore together is the vision for the Tri-Park area, which includes Liberty Park, Cedar River Park, and the Cedar River Natural Area. While visioning for this area began more than two decades ago, it’s clear that updating these historic concepts is essential to meet the needs of today’s growing and evolving Renton community.

Below are the visioning boards we shared at River Days, which we’re now updating to reflect the thoughtful input we received (see the end of this post for community feedback so far). You can also view the current Tri-Park Area Concept from the 2020 PROS Plan for reference (see PDF pg. 190).
